GAS STATION DESIGN: PORTLAND, OR
DRAWINGS
MODELS
Many successful architectural firms succeed because they stand on a few strong principles. This project studies an architectural firm, identifies their design principles and then takes those and reinterprets them into a simple project such as a gas station. Key goals adapted from the firm include sustainability, and designing within the context. The context is reflected in form of size and color. Complimentary colors are often used to bring attention to the main color palette of the site. The current site is a parking lot surrounded by trees in the immediate perimeter and tall office buildings on the next perimeter ring.
